SUMMARY

Concorde Park is a development of 10 industrial units delivering 91k square feet of new space. This case study is an excellent example of how Surveybase supports developers throughout development life cycle.

The project was the latest in a series of similar appointments with leading Hampshire developer, Kingsbridge Estates. Our comprehensive brief ultimately comprised Topographical, Utility, Measured Building, Area Measurement and Land Registry services.

We began at grass routes stage delivering a detailed topographic observation of the site, connecting infrastructure and boundaries. The resulting 2D AutoCAD site plan being used as the basis for the industrial estate design. This initial survey phase was quickly followed by an extensive Utility survey to investigate subterranean services including a desktop report on known utility assets.

We supported our client at various stages of construction to monitor build integrity ensuring that unit placement and scale were inline with design specifications. This phase of works included setting out of the site roads, paths, and access points.

Once constructed we returned to site to undertake a digital measured survey of each unit. We generated as built plans, elevations, and sections along with area measurement calculations reporting on gross external, gross internal and net internal space. This information proved critical to both marketing and conveyance.

Finally, we were called on again to deliver Land Registry compliant plans to facilitate the legal transfer of each unit title.

Since foundation, we have deployed this efficient survey solution for many successful industrial, commercial and housing developments.
