Measured Buildings Survey

If you are considering structural changes to your home, you need a Measured Building Survey.

The nature of your development will inform the scope of survey. If your proposals include external presentation you may only need an elevation survey. If your planning internal alterations, extension or loft conversion you will require a more detailed investigation including.

3D Survey Model

Depending on your preference or design pathway you may be interested in a 3D Survey Model. This state-of-the-art solution delivers the site data as a precision 3D Survey Model. It is the platform for enhanced design and visualisation as seen on Grand Designs. The 3D Survey Model delivers everything associated with traditional 2D Measured Building Surveys including the ability to extract plans, elevations, and sections needed for planning application.

3D Modelling takes longer than 2D processing, around 20% more time when compared to a routine measured house survey. However, when sections, roof & attic plans are added the time difference is less and the cost more affordable. We recommend that you discuss design pathways with your Architect and obtain quotes for both methods, you might be pleasantly surprised.

We offer a flexible approach to the Level of Detail (LOD) associated with 3D Survey Models including.

LOD 100 Massing

Digitising the location and orientation of surrounding buildings showing their overall height and volume with optional window and door openings.

LOD 200 Structural

Digitising only structural features showing their location, orientation, size, and shape. Typically used to model internal spaces.

LOD 300 Architectural

Progression of Level 2 with the addition of detailed architectural features showing their location, orientation, size, and shape. Typically used to model building facades.
