The digital Heritage Topographical & Measured Building Survey of St Sampson’s Church, Swindon.
Grade I listed St Sampson’s Church is a Parish Church located in Swindon. The site has been home to a Church since AD 890 with the 1086 Domesday Book noting a stone Church on the site with much of the current Church dating to a major refurbishment in 1240 – 1280.
St Sampson is one of only five churches in England dedicated to St Sampson, who was a 6th-century Welshman, an abbot of Caldey, and the first Bishop of Dol in Brittany.
The survey was undertaken with a Leica RTC360 Laser Scanner, Trimble Total Station & GPS. The output included precision a 2D AutoCAD Topographical Plan With X,Y,Z 3D Points, Floor Plans, Roof Plan, Elevations & Sectional Elevations.
