SUMMARY
The recent Topographical and Measured Building Survey of Diana Fountain, London.
The Diana Fountain in Bushy Park, Richmond upon Thames is a seventeenth-century statue and water feature with a surrounding lake which honours the Roman Goddess, Diana.
It was originally Designed in 1637, at the request of King Charles I for his wife Henrietta Maria.
This Monument is 2.38m tall and weighs 924kg with a 400-foot (120 m) diameter pool surrounded by lawns. The fountain was listed as Grade II in 1952 and in 2011 reclassified as Grade I.
The survey was undertaken with a Leica RTC360 Laser Scanner, Trimble Total Station & GPS. The output included precision 2D AutoCAD Topographical Plan With X,Y,Z 3D Points, Floor Plans, Elevations & Sections.
The survey included lake bed levels to provide a site section which included use of the grounds maintenance boat.
