The Digital 3D Revit & Elevation Survey of Centrale Shopping Centre, Croydon.

Centrale Shopping Centre in Croydon is one of the largest malls in South London with an internal area of over 800,000 square feet.

Appointed by national commercial property consultants, our brief required delivery of a precision Revit BIM model of the complex facades and roof landscape. The scope incorporated an adjoining multi storey car park. The combined scene amounted to the largest single building Laser Scan undertaken by Surveybase Limited.

Modelling the roof geometry proved to be a challenge. The space included an incredible volume of plant mechanics, each detailed to our Level 3 BIM specification.

Once complete, we were able to extract precision 2D measured building plans of each elevation. These will be used in surface calculations for proposed cladding upgrades.

The survey was undertaken using Faro Focus X330 Laser Scanning instruments controlled at ground level by our Land Surveying team. The raw scan data was processed using Faro Scene software to generate an accurate point cloud.
