SUMMARY

We recently completed the digital survey of an outstanding Georgian Manor House. This historic building sits in rolling hills on the outskirts of Cheltenham. Dating back to the early 19th century, the Grade II property is constructed of Bath stone elevations under a tiled roof. The south-facing façade is particularly attractive. Accommodation is arranged over 3 principal floors and totals over 7,000 square feet.

Following a recent purchase our client wanted a precision record for conservation and to provide the foundation for future development. The survey brief included delivery of a topographical site plan, all floor plans, roof plan, elevation plans and building sections. In addition, we were tasked with generating over 48 individual internal elevations.

The survey was undertaken using the latest Leica RTC360 laser scanning system and Trimble Total Station. The detailed brief was tailored made for laser scanning as we can capture comprehensive data on building facades and interior architecture. We generate point cloud files from the scan data and then begin the process of meticulously drafting each plan. On completion the final project is passed through our in-house Compliance Manager for full quality audit of both content and accuracy.
