The 3D Revit Survey of Nisbets, Bristol.

Nisbets is multinational distributor to the food-service sector. The company develops, retails, and distributes commercial kitchen equipment, catering supplies and other hospitality products and services to hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, schools, and colleges.

Recent expansion of its retail store estate has required a significant extension to its distribution centre site in Avonmouth, Bristol.

Our Client, a leading Southwest Architectural consultant, appointed Surveybase Limited to deliver a precision digital survey of the site and a section of the building immediately connecting with the proposed multi storey extension. Nisbets is an extremely busy environment, and our challenge was to traverse the building without compromise to their operation. The Topographical Survey was delivered in traditional 2D AutoCAD format with a separate XYZ points file in .CSV format. The building survey was delivered as a 3D Revit Model.

The 3D Model provided critical information on the existing structural steel frame. The model was used to generate the design scheme and guide on site construction.

The extension is now complete, and we are proud to have played our part in our Clients ongoing success story.
