SUMMARY

The 3D Revit (BIM) survey of Parsons House, London.

Parsons House is a residential tower in West Kensington, and accommodates key workers, particularly students and healthcare professionals associated with the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

Situated within the Imperial Charing Cross Hospital campus, this 16-storey structure presents shared communal spaces and individual living quarters.

Its strategic location provides residents with convenient access to essential amenities and a supportive community environment tailored to the needs of dedicated professionals and students alike.

Through a Pre-Modelling BIM Meeting the specifics of the model were conveyed, ensuring the delivery of a fully functional Model for the client.

Surveybase undertook a Laser Scan survey of the building. The resulting point cloud was referenced to OS coordinates and processed to deliver a 3D LOD3 BIM Model.

The survey was conducted using a unique approach where we scanned each floor plate with different layouts and replicated this design throughout the tower structure where applicable. This method resulted in reduced time spent on-site, and quicker completion of the model for the client.
