The 6th February 2023 is an important date for Surveybase Limited.
On Monday 6th February 2023 Surveybase celebrates 25 years in business. This incredible achievement will be marked throughout a year of celebration culminating in a formal “black tie” event in the Autumn. Today we want to thank everyone who made this happen including the many current and former colleagues, our cherished customers and valued consultants and suppliers.
Surveybase launched unofficially in the summer of 1997. It was the inspiration of todays Managing Director, David Ascott. David continues; “After many years in construction project management, I wanted to head out alone. You get a feeling that you can do better for Clients and their developments, its something that won’t go away. Before I knew it, I had resigned my position, handed back the car, salary, incentives and with minimal investment got things off the ground. I remember my first management report, Armageddon, the point at which funds would run out. I remember being down to just 2 weeks, interesting times!. Back then even 25 days seemed improbable. But the strength of feeling never changed, it still burns today. An overwhelming desire for service, that’s what inspires me, the daily drive for perfection. Something that has served me, my colleagues and many Clients well, and continues to do so. I will pause for thought on the 6th February, just long enough to remember the key moments and people on the journey. Then it will be back to work, after all we have the next 25 years to plan”.
