As part of our ongoing Work Experience programme, Surveybase recently had the pleasure of welcoming 15-year-old Conor from Ralph Allen Secondary School in Bath for a week-long introduction to the survey industry. This was part of Ralph Allen School’s Year 10 work experience week that was held over last week.

Conor’s placement provided him with an immersive experience, exploring various survey technology and methodologies and creating his own 3D model. Throughout the week, Conor was introduced to the fundamentals of survey methodology and deliverables. He also participated in site visits for hands-on training in topographical and UAV drone surveying, gaining a comprehensive overview of the surveying industry.

Reflecting on his time with Surveybase, Conor shared, “I’ve really enjoyed my week at Surveybase! I’ve learned a lot about how measured surveys are carried out and was amazed by some of the point clouds. The people here have been so nice, and I’m excited to show off my 3D model.”
